WELLSVILLE, Cache County — A Wellsville man died Thursday after falling 30 feet in a tree trimming accident.
Jeffery Glenn, 50, was working in the bucket of a utility truck Thursday evening when a rope connecting a nearby tree and the bucket snapped and launched him toward the ground, according to the Cache County Sheriff's Office. Glenn was trimming a tree near 300 West and 300 South in Wellsville.
Glenn landed on a pile of wood, where multiple witnesses to his fall performed CPR. He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Logan Regional Hospital.
“This is a tragic accident for all those involved," Cache County Sheriff Chad Jensen said in a prepared statement. "The sheriff’s office extends its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Glenn.”
