The story of Chris Williams' decision to forgive the drunk driver who hit and killed his wife and two children in 2007 is now a major motion picture that will be released in theaters Oct. 9, 2015. A first look at the movie, “Just Let Go,” was released Tuesday. The film will star Henry Ian Cusick, who is known for playing Desmond Hume on ABC’s "Lost."
Williams, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, shared his story in a Mormon Message video in 2010 and released a book in 2012 titled “Let It Go” about experiences he had both before and after the deaths of his family members that allowed him to forgive the 17-year-old driver.
The movie was filmed in Salt Lake City, and the cast includes Darin Southam, who starred in "Ephraim’s Rescue"; Adam Berg from BYUtv's "Studio C"; and singer Lexi Walker, who will play William’s daughter.
