The Utah Valley University women's golf team shot a final round 26-over-par 314 at Wigwam Golf Club on Wednesday to finish fifth at the 2015 WAC Women's Golf Championship with a three-round total of 958 (+94).
Heather Mathison shot the low round of the day for the Wolverines, carding a 3-over-par 75. The senior posted one birdie and an eagle after knocking in a show from the fairway. Mathison finished the tournament in a tie for 23rd with a three-round score of 239 (+23).
Sophomore Kimberly Nyhus also tied for 23rd individually. Nyhus shot 11-over-par 83 in the final round for a three-day score of 239 (+23). Senior Hannah Herman carded a 5-over-par 77 on the final day as she finished in a tie for 28th with a 243 (+27).
Cassandra Lesa also posted a 5-over-par 77 in the final round. The senior tied for 30th with a three-day score of 244 (+28). Monica Yeates rounded out the UVU scoring with an 11-over-par 83 on Wednesday. She finished 33rd at 246 (+30).
The WAC Championship wraps up the season for the Wolverines who resume play in the fall.
