Utah State gymnastics is set to compete at the Berkeley Regional Championship hosted by California. The Aggies are appearing at regionals in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2001-02. Action is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m. MT, at Cal's Haas Pavilion.

The Aggies, currently ranked No. 29, will compete as the fifth seed against No. 3 Utah, No. 10 Georgia, No. 15 Boise State, No. 20 Cal and Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference rival BYU. Utah State will start on vault, then have a bye rotation before moving through bars and beam. After another bye rotation, USU will finish on floor.

Cal will provide live scoring and live streaming, and the links to both pages will be provided on Utah Stat's wbsite prior to the start of the meet on Saturday.

Utah State has already competed against Boise State and BYU this season, most recently at the MRGC Championships in Denver, Colorado, on March 21. Utah State took fourth in that meet with a 195.125, while BYU finished fifth with a 194.225. Boise State took first with a 196.625. Senior Sarah Landes and junior McKinzey Martinez each earned second-team all-MRGC honors in the all-around, while junior Miranda Kerr was named second-team all-MRGC on vault.

Overall, this will be the 28th time Utah State has participated in the NCAA Regional Championships. Utah State participated at NCAA Regionals last season at Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Aggies finished sixth in that meet with a 191.875. The Aggies' highest Regionals finish came in 1982, where the team took second place. That squad went on to compete at its fourth-straight National Championships, finishing ninth. Utah State has finished third at Regionals five separate times.
