TERRA, Tooele County — A South Jordan man was killed Saturday after police say he lost control of his motorcycle.
Kenneth W. Crofutt, 61, was on state Route 199, four miles west of Terra, when he lost control of his 2008 Harley Davidson while rounding a curve, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
He "crossed onto the road edge at the fog line. The road edge gave way and the driver lost control. As vehicle No. 1 came back onto the roadway, the vehicle remained out of control," the UHP said.
Crofutt, who was not wearing a helmet, laid his motorcycle down and slammed his head on the pavement in the process and was killed, according to troopers.
