Utah high school students got into gear on Wednesday at the Ford/AAA Student Auto Skills Competition, which fosters students’ interest in the automotive industry through a nationwide competition. Students had opportunities to win scholarships and awards.

Wade M. Tate and Cason Q. Hales from Riverton High School won the contest and can now demonstrate their winning skills at the national level.

Wade and Cason, along with their instructor Jay Hales, will travel to Dearborn, Michigan, for the national contest. There they will represent Utah against student teams from all 50 states at the Ford World Headquarters in June.
