Ninety immigrants, from 40 countries, took the oath of allegiance and became U.S. citizens Friday at the U.S. District Courthouse in Salt Lake City.

The immigrants are originally from Argentina, Bhutan, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Brazil, Myanmar, Cameroon, Canada, Chili, Columbia, Congo, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Guatemala, India, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Jamaica, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Paraguay, Peru, Philippines, Russia, Samoa, Somalia, South Korea, Syria, Taiwan, The Gambia, Tonga, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam and Zimbabwe.
