LOGAN — A 23-year-old Kaysville woman was killed in a head-on collision Friday in Logan Canyon.
Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Evan Kirby said Tiffany Balling was driving a passenger car that traveled into oncoming traffic on Highway 89 about a mile south of the turn-off for Beaver Mountain, striking a larger vehicle head-on at about 8:45 p.m. She was not wearing a seat belt and was killed on impact, according to Kirby.
The male driver of the other car was flown to a Salt Lake City hospital and four other occupants of that vehicle, a woman and three children, were taken to Logan hospitals in stable condition.
A passenger in Balling's car was also hospitalized, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
