Utah County skies were a bit more colorful Wednesday morning as hot air balloons were prepared for the 31st annual Balloon Festival, part of America's Freedom Festival at Provo.

July 2-4, between 25 and 28 balloons will be launched, enjoying some very exciting "Hare and Hound" competition between the pilots. On all four days, balloons will inflate between 5:45 and 6 a.m., and hope to be airborne before 6:30 a.m.
