During their 2015 Atlantic Coast Tour, members of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square were given a challenge: film themselves singing or playing the first verse of "America the Beautiful" in different locations during their free time.

They accepted the challenge and posted the results on YouTube. The video shows choir and orchestra members performing the song at well-known locations such as the New York City subway, the Lincoln Memorial, the Brooklyn Bridge and Times Square.

Choir and orchestra members filmed the song at more than 20 locations across three states and Washington, D.C., according to mormontabernaclechoir.org.

The choir and orchestra act as goodwill ambassadors for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, according to their website.
