MURRAY — Murray police continued interviewing witnesses Thursday in an effort to figure out what led to two men being shot an apartment complex Wednesday night.

About 9 p.m., police were called to the Brickgate Apartments, 162 W. 4490 South, on a report of shots fired, said Murray police detective Kenny Bass. They found one man in his 30s and another in his 40s who had each been shot. One man's head was grazed by a bullet and the other shot in the shoulder, he said.

The two had reportedly been arguing with at least one other man, Bass said. He did not know Thursday if the shooting happened in an apartment or in the parking lot or whether the victims were arguing with more than one person.

What the men were arguing about was also not immediately known. Bass said there were several people in the complex at the time who witnessed the incident.

A pool of blood could be spotted at the scene, close to where Murray police were examining an SUV.
