Elder L. Tom Perry, a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from 1974 until his death in 2015, discusses the importance of the 10 commandments, particularly six that are commonly dismissed, in a Facebook video posted Sunday on the LDS Youth Facebook page.
The video features counsel from Elder Perry's April 2013 general conference address, "Obedience to Law is Liberty," and animated graphics accompany his voice.
Elder Perry explains that eternal happiness comes from obedience and that the commandments are like a road map back to Heavenly Father.
"Sin will always be sin," Elder Perry said in the video. "Disobedience to the Lord's commandments will always deprive us of his blessings. The world changes constantly and dramatically, but God, his commandments and promised blessings do not change. They're immutable, unchanging."
The video has more than 29,000 views, 2,600 likes and 1,100 shares.
