A few hours after it was announced on Monday that University of Utah safeties coach Morgan Scalley would become the team's new defensive coordinator, the former Highland High and Ute star took to Twitter to express his gratitude for getting the job.

Thanking a multitude of people, from head coach Kyle Whittingham to Utah fans, Scalley wrote, "May these next however many years be just as fun and memorable! Let's do this!! Go Utes!!"

On Monday, Houston was a guest on 104.5 The Team, a radio show based in Albany, New York, where he discussed during a seven-minute interview the impact Fredette has had on the team and the possibility he could get back to the NBA.

"Everybody knows the type of person he is, the type of man he is," Houston said. "Very humble, hard-working. He just wants to get better. ... I think that he's shown a high level of commitment, and when that opportunity does come (to go to the NBA), he's going to be ready."

Brighton WR Simi Fehoko discusses decision to commit to Stanford

Simi Fehoko finished his prep career with the Brighton Bengals as one of the most prolific players in state history, setting a slew of receiving records.

He has parlayed that success into an opportunity to play collegiately at Stanford, as well as a nomination for the U.S. Army Player of the Year Award.

In an interview Monday with Campus Insiders' Ray Crawford, Fehoko discussed his decision to commit to the Cardinal, and what the award nomination means to him.

Fehoko will play in the U.S. Army All American Bowl on Saturday in San Antonio, Texas.

"It's obviously a huge honor for me to be in this prestigious group, and I think that for me being from Utah, I think it's a huge honor for us and I'm very proud to represent the Utah state," he said.
