Linda Hardman, of Taylorsville, is greeted by Salt Lake County Sheriff Jim Winder after Hardman donated the quilt behind her to the Unified Police Department in Salt Lake City on Friday.
The quilt, which was part of a Christmas tree display Hardman purchased at the Festival of Trees, honors members of law enforcement who have been killed in the line of duty.
Hardman recognized that the quilt was far too beautiful and special to be kept from the public’s eye, so she decided to donate it so it can be displayed in the lobby of the police department's headquarters at 3365 S. 900 West.
