Utah Rep. Jake Anderegg recently wrote in the Deseret News that Donald Trump “appears to be more interested in winning at all costs, by throwing mud and degrading others, than he is about articulating a clear pathway forward for our nation.”
I respectively disagree.
Trump and the Republican Party have articulated, and continue to articulate, a very clear and concise “pathway for our nation.” And Republicans should band behind this pathway rather than support the failed path of the past eight years.
Donald Trump’s path forward for America includes: energy independence using coal, oil, wind, solar and nuclear power; closing our Southern border; lowering taxes, especially on businesses who have fled the U.S.; severely restricting, if not eliminating, the EPA; rescinding Obamacare; returning control of the schools back to the states and the elimination of Common Core; stopping the import of non-vetted Syrian refugees; supporting our nation's police officers and military; eliminating billions in foreign aid that we give to foreign governments that in some cases hate us; stop funding ISIS through money given to Iran and Saudi Arabia; bringing the fight to and destroying ISIS and calling them what they are — “radical Islamic terrorists”; rebuilding our military; rebuilding the U.S. economy and creating jobs; deporting criminal aliens (gang members); ending “pay for play” politics as exemplified by the Clinton Foundation; and, most importantly, appointing constitutional justices to the Supreme Court and not progressive judges who think the Constitution is outdated and should be rewritten.
Contrast this to Hillary Clinton, whose platform amounts to little more than an extension of Obama’s eight years of failed policies — including Obamacare and Common Core — mixed with an effort to spread false allegations against Donald Trump.
Additionally, if anybody in this campaign has a "win at all costs, and throw mud and degrade others" strategy, it is Hillary Clinton. All one has to do is look at the recent WikiLeaks emails being released, along with all the recent cases of voter fraud and corruption that are already appearing across the nation.
Yes, Donald Trump can be loud, obnoxious, narcissistic and even sexist. However, Hillary Clinton is two-faced and thinks she is owed the presidency. Also, as has been reported by some sources, she has a hair-trigger temper and curses while in private.
Yesterday, I heard Rep. Jake Anderegg on the Rod Arquette radio show state he didn’t know how he could look his daughter in the face and tell her he had voted for Trump. I have to ask him how he could look her in the face and tell her he allowed Hillary to win the presidency by not voting for Trump?
Just like millions who wouldn’t vote for Romney in 2012, those Republicans who can't bring themselves to vote for Trump now, will be handing the election to Clinton and giving us four more years of Obama.
I would ask Rep. Anderegg and all those Republicans who can’t vote for Trump the man, to please vote for the future of our country and vote for the Republican platform instead. The nation that our forefathers created, including the second Amendment, may never survive if Hillary Clinton is permitted to stack the Supreme Court with progressive justices.
Now that the primaries are over, and the election is near, Republicans must unite behind the party’s nominee or risk electing a continuation of the failed Democratic policies.
