Thank you, Deseret News, for giving us more meat on presidential candidate Evan McMullin. America may be a predominantly two-party nation, but this is no longer a two-party race. Unfolding is perhaps the most unique presidential election our state has ever seen or will ever see: the rise of a local independent candidate who could very well represent Utah as well as serve in the Oval Office through rare but plausible conditions. In an unprecedented year when traditional candidates have left so many dissatisfied, it’s important to understand McMullin and why his conservative campaign has our local neighborhoods and even the nation abuzz. Time is short — and this year, especially in Utah, our votes really do count! Thank you for helping conscientious voters be more informed.
