It’s Nov. 8. Election Day. Here’s the news you need to start your day.
Election day is finally here
We’ve gone through almost two years of political campaigns all in lead up to today, Election Day 2016.
There’s a lot on the line today. The office of the president is up for grabs, as are a number of house and senate seats that could determine the fate of the U.S. Congress.
One area in New Hampshire has already tallied its votes. In the town of Dixville Notch, Clinton picked up four votes, Donald Trump picked up two, Gary Johnson earned one and even Mitt Romney received a write-in vote, according to Politico.

You should expect some long lines. But don’t worry, there’s pizza.
So what happens after the election?
That’s a good question, one that our own Dennis Romboy looked to answer in his latest report. The United States has to choose between some of the most divisive candidates in recent history, which has political experts worried.
"It doesn't help that the campaign has been the most angry campaign that I can recall in my 53 years of life," Steve Kroes, who heads the Utah Foundation, told Romboy. "It's going to leave a lingering bad taste in the mouth of whichever party loses."
No matter who wins, experts told Romboy, the chosen candidate will enter into the White House with a divided nation, which won’t make it easier for him or her to govern.
But Natalie Gochnour, director of the Kem C. Gardner Public Policy Institute at the University of Utah, told Romboy that Americans need to find a way to unite after the election.
"We have to ask the question, What is it that will bind us together or what will heal our wound? Certainly, a crisis can do that. But we don't have to have a crisis to do that. I would hope that it would be some inspired leadership," Gochnour said.
What do I need to know about Utah?
Utah’s been something of a swing state this election season. As I highlighted in my piece Monday, Utah’s gone from wanting Mitt Romney to run to a battleground and swing state.
Right now, Trump is still expected to win the state, according to FiveThirtyEight. But Evan McMullin, a BYU grad who’s running as an independent conservative, may also have a shot at the state’s electoral votes. Still, that may even be a tall order.

‘Moana’ review trickles in
The new Disney hit “Moana” won’t come out until Nov. 23, but reviews have already trickled in.
Forbes’ Scott Mendelson wrote in his review that the film does well to align with other recent Disney films in its ability to teach valuable lessons to young girls.
“Like many a Disney heroine, Moana is fated for great things but wants to walk, or in this case sail, on a different path,” he wrote.
The plot makes Moana out to be a sort of “chosen one,” as the cliche storyline goes, according to Mendelson. But that doesn’t mean Moana isn’t a strong character on her own. In fact, she’s a well-developed character who can help children of all genders learn about leadership and success.
“She’s a fine role model for children of both genders, and the film does right by not making sex of its hero into anything approaching a big deal," he said. "But most importantly, Cravalho gives a beautiful vocal turn and the film never lets her or her funny character down.”

Curry for 3 … 13 times
Golden State Warrior star Stephen Curry made history (again) Monday night, sinking 13 3-point shots against the New Orleans Pelicans, according to Yahoo News.
Curry, who tied the record last year with 12 3s made in an overtime win against the Oklahoma City Thunder, hit 13-of-17 triples in Monday’s affair, leading the offense to victory over the Pelicans.
Curry called it a “special night” and attributed his success to practice, USA Today reported.
"I was hard on myself in practice the last two days. I had pretty good shooting sessions," he said. "I don't overreact to games like that whether I go 0-for-10 or 2-for-12 or whatever it is. My process is the same, but I had another level of focus the last two days trying to get my rhythm back and see the ball go in."

Deal of the day: Nintendo 3DS on sale for the holidays
Unsure about what to buy your kids for Christmas? The new Nintendo 3DS will be on sale on Black Friday for the low price of $99.99, according to Polygon, a tech news site. This is the first time the device will be on sale for less than $100.
The price will be for special edition models of the console, including one littered with Mario characters.
“Nintendo will be marking the occasion by releasing the handheld with a new design featuring Mushroom Kingdom artwork, with characters such as Mario and Toad and items like a Fire Flower. It will be available in two colors, white (see below) and black, starting Nov. 25,” according to Polygon.
