SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Well over 100 athletes from Utah universities have participated in Super Bowls over the past 50 years, including 62 players from BYU, 36 from Utah, 27 from Utah State and eight from Weber State. Another dozen or so players from Utah high schools who played for other colleges have also competed in the Super Bowl.
Not all have made their mark in the biggest football game of the year and one of the world’s largest sporting events, but there have been several memorable performances by players with local ties.
