It is a moment San Francisco 49ers fans remember well: the throw from Joe Montana to Dwight Clark that gave the team the winning touchdown.
Utah-based videographer Devin Graham re-created the legendary play, termed “The Catch,” in a YouTube video released Sunday.
During the 1982 NFC Championship Game, Joe Montana threw the ball 6 yards to Dwight Clark, scoring the winning touchdown. Because of the play, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Dallas Cowboys.
“The Catch” is re-created in the video, but rather than going 6 yards, the pass is completed from an airplane to the ground with the help of some sky divers.
The video, posted on Graham’s YouTube channel, is the result of the collaboration among Graham, Whistle Sports, Pepsi and Papa John’s.
According to a behind-the-scenes video, a Facemask camera, attached to one of the sky divers' helmets, and a Shotover helicopter helped capture the shots.
The video premiered on CBS on Sunday.
