COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — City officials are taking applications for its Youth City Council through Friday, April 1, at 5 p.m.
The Youth City Council gives students in grades nine through 12 the opportunity to get involved with city government as well as providing opportunities for service and education.
Regular meetings are held twice a month in addition to service activities associated with city events, such as Butlerville Days and the annual Easter egg hunt.
All members of the council must live within city boundaries or attend high school in the city.
Applicants may be expected to participate in a short orientation and interview with the Youth City Council advisers and the Youth Council mayor on Monday, April 4, or Tuesday, April 5, at City Hall, 1265 E.
