SALT LAKE CITY -- There were supposed to be Angels in the outfield.

Instead, the only angels anyone had a chance to see Tuesday at Smith's Ballpark would have been "snow angels."

Wintry weather conditions covered Smith's Ballpark with a wet blanket of snow and canceled Tuesday's scheduled exhibition baseball game between the Salt Lake Bees and the Los Angeles Angels.

So, fans who were hoping to see such former Bees standouts and current Angels stars as outfielders Mike Trout, the 2014 American League MVP, and Kole Calhoun and first baseman/designated hitter C.J. Cron, as well as eight other former Bees players, were instead offered the choice of two refund packages. There will be no makeup date for Tuesday's exhibition game. Fans who purchased tickets to the game have two options:

1. They may receive a full refund from the location where they purchased their tickets. Refund requests must be made by April 7.

2. Fans who purchased their tickets from SmithsTix.com, slbees.com, the Smith’s Ballpark Box Office, or the Salt Lake Bees Group Sales Department will be offered a 2-for-1 credit on the value of the tickets which were purchased, which can be used on Bees tickets during the 2016 regular season.

For example, if a fan purchased $60 in exhibition game tickets, they would receive $120 in Bees ticket value to be used during the upcoming season. These tickets can be used for any Bees game (including fireworks games) except for games on July 2 and July 23. Tickets are subject to availability.

To receive the 2-for-1 ticket value, call the Bees' ticket off at (801) 325-BEES (2337) during normal business hours.

Anyone with additional questions regarding tickets or refunds is also encouraged to call the Bees ticket office.
