One week has passed since the 186th Annual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Those who have visited lds.org to study the conference talks may have noticed new features in the general conference section of the site.

New search options

In addition to the ability to filter talks by conference session, the redesigned general conference section allows users to search by speakers and by topics.

For example, selecting President Thomas S. Monson, president of the LDS Church, directs users to a page listing 230 talks from President Monson. Selecting the topic of Jesus Christ directs users to a page with 690 talks about Christ.

“Answers to Personal Questions” page

An “Answers to Personal Questions” page uses parts of conference addresses to answer questions such as, “What did the prophet say?” and “How can I stay motivated to live the gospel when I keep falling short?"

The LDS Church also invites members to share the answers they received during conference through a Facebook post.

Related talks

At the end of each talk, users can now follow links to talks on similar subjects. For example, at the end of the talk “I Was a Stranger” by Sister Linda K. Burton, Relief Society general president, talks related to the subjects of Relief Society, service and love are listed.

Sharing features

View Comments

Sharing features for each talk are located under the title of each talk. The buttons allow the user to listen to the talk, download audio or video for the talk, print the talk, or share the talk via Twitter, Facebook or email.

Conference music

Users can listen to and download music from general conference through the conference music page. The page allows people to search by title, artist and session.
