SALT LAKE CITY — Former Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina endorsed Utah Sen. Mike Lee's re-election bid Wednesday.

Fiorina also is backing Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Pa., and Sen. Marlin Stutzman, R-Ind. The Carly for America super PAC will use its resources and experience to help conservative "outsiders" win in 2016, according to an email to supporters.

Fiorina has also endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz for president, as did Lee.

Utah Democratic Party executive director Lauren Littlefield responded with a statement saying Fiorina's support of Lee shows just how dangerous his "brand of extremism" is for the state.
