Children play in Creekside, an interactive play area, after a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Utah's Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City on Thursday. The new attraction, adjacent to Lighthouse Point splash zone, offers new play equipment, including elements of a tree house, slides, spider web netting, swinging vines and bridges. It also features a sensory wall for children on the autism spectrum, a boardwalk that allows guests to explore native wildlife along Emigration Creek and the Wyatt Fricks Discovery Theater, which will feature daily animal encounters. It is named after a young zoo patron who died in 2014.
