Utah State football fans will notice several upgraded amenities at Maverik Stadium in the fall, providing a brand new experience when watching the gridiron on Merlin Olsen Field. The experience will peak several senses, including new video boards, a new sound system, premium seating options, upgraded concession options and changes to restroom facilities.

Fans will first notice the digital video boards, particularly the board on the north side that will measure 67 feet by 38 feet, dwarfing the previous board that measured 48 feet by 14 feet. The south board will also be an upgraded video board, with both displays featuring even greater clarity and sharpness.

The visual experience may be outdone by the audio experience as the stadium will be the home to a new L-Acoustics sound system. The system will be a higher quality in equipment and sound than any other collegiate venue in the state, the school said, adding that the sound will come from a line array pattern often found in concert venues but unique to athletic venues.

The concession options on the west side of the stadium will be upgraded with a greater variety of equipment, including fryers and grills, that will open up a larger range of snacking options. In addition to the food provided by USU concessions, fans will also be able to munch on selections from the Maverik Bonfire Grill on the east side of the south grill.

Fans will find more bathrooms than before on the west side. Fans will also notice a warmer environment in the restrooms along the west side as well as each will be heated.

Fans can enjoy all the upgrades from premium seating options, including luxury suites, patio suites and champion club seats that will have access to a Champions Club buffet prior to every home game. Access to the premium seating and seating along the west side of the stadium will also include a pair of elevators from the west parking lot.

The first look at the brand new amenities, not including the premium seating options, will happen on Aug. 20, during the annual Family Fun Day, featuring the final scrimmage of the fall before the Aggies open the 2016 regular season against Weber State on Thursday, Sept. 1. Utah State will also host Arkansas State (Sept. 17), Air Force (Sept. 24), Fresno State (Oct. 22), defending Mountain West champion San Diego State (Oct. 28) and New Mexico (Nov. 12) during its home slate in 2016.

Season ticket renewals are available through Friday at 5 p.m., by calling the Utah State Ticket Office at 1-888-USTATE-1, by visiting Utah State's athletic website or in person at the ticket office, located inside the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. Fans can get more information about the premium seating options by contacting Jeremy Winn, associate AD for major gifts, at 801-386-6476 or by email at jeremy.winn@usu.edu.
