Scott Sterling, a popular character on BYUtv’s sketch comedy show “Studio C,” is known for his ability to block soccer balls, and most recently a volleyball, with his face.

Now another Utah athlete is making headlines for a block he made with his face.

A YouTube video uploaded by Major League Soccer shows Nick Rimando, goalie for Real Salt Lake, blocking a shot with his face during Saturday’s game against the Houston Dynamo.

Rimando made a double save, first blocking the ball with his hand and then with his face. The save gave Real Salt Lake a victory, leaving the final score at 2-1.

On Twitter, Rimando assured fans he was OK.

The save, similar to those made by Scott Sterling, prompted a response from the comedy group.

"We know how you feel Rimando," the "Studio C" YouTube account posted below the video.
