WEST JORDAN — City officials are warning that several roads will be closed on July 4 to accommodate the Fourth of July Parade.

Redwood Road from 7000 South to 8000 South will be closed from 10 a.m. to noon; 7000 South between 2200 West and Redwood Road will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon; and no through traffic will be allowed on 7800 South. The parade, which begins at 10:30 a.m., will run north along Redwood Road from City Hall at 8000 South to 7000 South.

The city will also host a carnival on Friday, July 1, Saturday, July 2, and Monday, July 4, in Veterans Memorial Park, 8030 S. 1825 West, featuring rides, food, vendors and more! The carnival runs from 4 to 10 p.m. on July 1, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 2, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. on July 4. The West Jordan Concert Band will perform at the park at 1:30 p.m. on July 4, and fireworks show will begin at 10 p.m.

In addition, the Western Stampede Rodeo will be held July 1, 2 and 4 at the city’s arena, 8035 S. 2200 West. All seats are reserved. Grandstand tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Reserved tickets in the lower grandstand are $17. To purchase tickets, log on to westernstampede.com.
