Destiny Howard looks at a giant animated bear on a float that will appear in the Days of '47 Parade during a preview party Monday at the South Towne Expo Center in Sandy. Participants were able to vote for their favorite float for the "People's Choice" or the "Children's Choice" award. The preview party continues 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday. The Days of '47 Parade — featuring colorful floats, bands, horses, clowns and other entries — is set for 9 a.m. Monday, July 25. The route starts at South Temple and State Street, then runs east to 200 East. It then turns south at 900 South, east to 600 East, and concludes at Liberty Park. The event will be televised live on KSL-TV.
