Amid political unrest in Turkey, Church leaders have transferred 15 young volunteers serving in Turkey to Germany, "where they will continue their service among the Turkish-speaking population of Berlin," according to a statement released by the Church on July 27 about volunteers in the country.
The Church has 439 members and 12 congregations in Turkey, according to the Mormon Newsroom.
Leaders anticipate the young volunteers "will return when conditions in Turkey normalize."
"Our prayers are with the people of Turkey and with our Church members who live there," said the statement.
