HURRICANE — A 15-year-old boy who was hiking with a family member died Sunday night died after falling 200 feet off a cliff, according to Hurricane police.

On Monday, Hurricane Police identified the teen as Pierce J. Adamson of Hurricane.

According to police, Adamson had hiked to the top of the cliff near 1100 South and 100 West and was standing on the summit when the rocks beneath him gave way, causing him to fall. Police described the terrain as rugged and rocky.
