As the summer comes to an end and the school year begins, Bored Shorts TV released a video in hopes of bringing both laughter and thought to famillies who rely on school buses.

The adults behind Bored Shorts asked kids for their best school bus safety tips. “Let’s just say they gave us a lot to think about,” read the description below the video.

Bored Shorts TV is a YouTube channel that features children narrating every day events while adults act them out. Although this video was meant to be humorous, there was a serious purpose behind it.

“The safest way to and from school is on a school bus. In fact, riding a school bus is 13 times safer than riding in the family vehicle. That said, the most dangerous aspect of riding a school bus is safely getting on and off a bus, which is why it is so important for children to know school bus safety. We hope this video will be used to start a dialogue with your kids about school bus safety,” continued the video’s description.

Created by brothers Brett, David, John and Randy Roberts and their friend Richard Sharrah, the Utah-based production company has more than 455,000 subscribers on YouTube.

“We think kids are hilarious, and so we bring their humor to life by mixing the world of a child with that of adults,” according to the description on the Bored Shorts TV YouTube channel.
