Photos: Weber State officially opens Tracy Hall Science Center

Christian Hall looks at an 8-ton, solid stainless steel diamond press in the lobby of the new Tracy Hall Science Center at Weber State University in Ogden on Wednesday. Dignitaries — including university, state and local leaders — officially opened the building located just north of Stewart Bell Tower Plaza. Following the ribbon-cutting, attendees were invited to tour the building and watch demonstrations and experiments. The 174,000-square-foot building is named after H. Tracy Hall, a WSU alumnus who was an integral part of the team that invented synthetic diamonds at General Electric in 1954.
