Two weeks in and we've learned a few things: Bingham isn't messing around, Timpview is for real and newcomer Skyridge is a major threat. But there are more teams with high expectations looking to take down the big dogs. Here are six games for the week of Sept. 2 that should pique your interest.

1. Bingham (2-0) at Lone Peak (2-0)

When Bingham set up its schedule, it was seen as one of the toughest in the state, especially before region play, with teams like defending state champion Herriman and runner-up Lone Peak. Well, after a 45-0 drubbing of the Mustangs, the Miners are the team to beat in 5A. They will travel to Lone Peak in a rematch of last year's semifinal that went the Knights way in a 26-9 final. The Knights will take on a Miners team that looks even tougher than last season.

2. Springville (2-0) at Skyridge (2-0)

The Red Devils have started the 2016 campaign winning against a 3AA state runner-up in Dixie and a good 5A team in Lehi. Springville will take that great start into a tough match up with first year high school Skyridge. The Falcons have proved in the first two weeks that they shouldn't be overlooked. Winning their first two games by a margin of 24 points shows that the Falcons can compete in just their inaugural year.

3. Olympus (2-0) at Davis (2-0)

The Titans are coming off an ugly 5-3 win over the Highland Rams and getting a Davis team that can score some points. The Titans are only allowing 5.5 points per game through the first two weeks, but Davis will be a whole other animal. Despite the 2-0 start, the Darts haven't lived up to the preseason hype as one of the dominant forces in 5A. They will need to bring their best against a tough 4A team.

4. Jordan (1-1) at Pleasant Grove (1-1)

The first couple of weeks haven't gone as Jordan had planned; a close game against Desert Hill and a loss to Roy in which they only scored 13 points. The Diggers boasted what seemed to be one of the best, if not the best, offenses in the state. It hasn't shown in the first two weeks. And the Vikings are coming off a tough loss to Rock Mountain, Idaho, 51-50. Pleasant Grove needs to get back on track against a vulnerable Jordan team.

5. Park City (2-0) at South Summit (2-0)

The Miners of Park City started the season exactly how they needed. Last week Park City had a tough game against Cyprus and next take on one of the tougher 2A schools in the state. The Wildcats have played two close games, both of which ended up wins. This is will be a big test of where South Summit really is as a program against a tough Park City team.

6. Diamond Ranch (0-1) at Duchesne (2-0)

Defending 1A state champion Diamond Ranch looks to get back on track after a tough loss to Enterprise, a good 2A school. Now the Diamondbacks will take on undefeated 1A foe Duchesne. The Eagles are perfect through two weeks and look to send a message to 1A that they too should be seen as a threat for the state title. Defeating the defending state champs would be a great way to start.
