LOGAN — A man died at the hospital after a car crash one block away from Logan Regional Hospital.

The 25-year-old man was driving a red Chevrolet Traverse with Idaho plates east on 1400 North about 4 p.m. Saturday, when an 18-year-old woman driving a Mini Cooper was waiting to turn south at a traffic light at 200 East, police said.

As the traffic light turned yellow, the Mini Cooper turned left, and the Traverse slammed into it, Logan Police Chief Gary Jensen said.

The T-bone crash sent the man to the hospital in critical condition, and he later died from his injuries, police said. An adult woman passenger and three children in the Traverse also were treated at the hospital.

A 2-year-old passenger in the Traverse was airlifted to an area hospital in serious condition, Jensen said. The condition of the woman and other two children was not immediately available.
