Derek Harper turned down a chance to play for a team with a shot at going to the NBA Finals to stay with the Dallas Mavericks as the trade deadline came and went.

In an interview on SportsCenter, Harper said, There was a Utah deal, but you go live in Utah. Nothing against Utah or their team, but I dont want to live there.
