A new video released by Mormon Channel provides a visual to accompany a story shared by Sister Carole M. Stephens, first counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, in her October 2015 general conference address. In her talk, “If Ye Love Me, Keep My Commandments,” Sister Stephens told an experience she had with her granddaughter, Chloe, as she attempted to get Chloe to buckle her seatbelt. After trying to coax Chloe into buckling her seatbelt with promises of playing with play dough, stopping for a treat and making homemade bread, Sister Stephens offered a silent prayer and the response came, “Teach her.”

Sister Stephens proceeded to explain to her young granddaughter why it is important to wear a seatbelt. Chloe’s response was simple yet insightful.

“She looked at me; I could almost see the wheels turning in her little mind as I waited anxiously for her response,” Sister Stephens said. “Finally, her big blue eyes brightened, and she said, ‘Grandma, you want me to wear my seat belt because you love me!’”
