People stop at convenience stores to fix a flat tire, grab some snacks for the road or to pick up groceries last-minute groceries.

Some experiences are better than others. GasBuddy recently put together a map of the top-rated convenience stores in each state.

To come up with the map, GasBuddy, an app that helps drivers find low gas prices, collected data of each state’s user ratings for individual gas stations.

Utah’s top-rated convenience store proved to be Holiday Oil, the stores with kind of creepy clown face logo.

In Wyoming, Sinclair (the one with the dinosaur logo) won out, while Kum & Go won big in Colorado and Phillips won in Idaho, according to the research.

Major stores like Mobil, QuikTrip and Shell dominated the rest of the country.

GasBuddy explained that these ratings come at a time when these stores have changed significantly.

“Gas station convenience stores have come a long way, evolving from a place to buy fuel and a bottle of soda, to being true destinations for lunch, groceries and to meet friends for coffee … and, yes, maybe even to fill up the car with some gas,” according to GasBuddy.
