Two months to the day from his last game action, former BYU standout guard Tyler Haws returned to action for Poland's Anwil Wloclawek and had one of his most impressive showings as a professional basketball player.

He finished with 21 points on 7 for 7 shooting from the floor and 4 for 4 from the free-throw line as Anwil crushed Start Lublin 112-77 on Sunday. He added three rebounds, three steals and a pair of assists in 23 minutes. And he did all that while wearing a mask to protect his healing cheekbone that he broke in practice.

"It was really good to be back out there, running up and done," said Haws in the postgame press conference. "We've been working really hard in practice and it showed today."

One noticeable improvement from all that practice time was with Haws' outside shooting. While he has shot the ball well from inside the arc and at the free-throw line all season, he had struggled from beyond the arc, making just nine 3-point shots in his first 16 games. On Sunday, he broke out of that slump as he connected on all three of his attempts from distance.

On the season, Haws is averaging 10.6 points on 46.4 percent shooting from the floor and 90.9 percent from the foul line. He also contributes 2.2 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 1.0 assists in 21.7 minutes for a team that is in second place in the Polish League standings.
