Keith Van Horn made buzzer-beaters on consecutive nights to help Utah reach the WAC title game. The Utes would move up to No. 2 in the nation after winning the title over TCU 89-68.
In the quarterfinals with 0.3 seconds left, Van Horn had to reach way back to get an inbounds pass from Andre Miller and he flicked the ball into the basket from five feet away. That gave Utah a 59-58 win over SMU.
In the semis, Van Horn grabbed a rebound and hit an eight-footer at the horn in a 72-70 win over 14th-ranked New Mexico.
