Every year, the United States celebrates an important holiday for all breakfast lovers — National Cereal Day.
According to Business Insider, each state favors one type of cereal over another. With the help of some Google research, Business Insider found the most searched cereal in every state and Washington, D.C.
Utah’s most popular cereal proved to be Special K, which isn’t all that unique compared to the rest of the nation. Sixteen states in total searched for Special K above all other cereals.
Popular brands such as Cheerios won in two states — Oregon (for Honey Nut Cheerios) and Tennessee (regular Cheerios).
Funny enough, Oreo O’s was heavily searched in North Dakota and Maine, according to Business Insider.
A KSL poll last September showed that Cap’n Crunch cereal was the Beehive State’s favorite. Honey Bunches of Oats earned a close second spot.
