AMERICAN FORK — The Granite Flat campground in American Fork Canyon will be closed until further notice due to a mudslide, rangers with the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest said Friday.
According to a news release, crews will have to use heavy equipment to repair the damage. Visitors will continue to have access to other recreation facilities within the canyon.
Rangers are also reminding recreationists to use extreme caution around fast-moving streams or rivers, or where water is flowing across roads.
