SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Transit Authority is again offering summer youth passes for FrontRunner, TRAX, S-Line and local buses between June 1 and Aug. 31.

The passes, which cost $75, can be used by children and teenagers ages 6 to 18.

Passes can be purchased online at rideuta.com or in person at UTA customer service locations. The cost of the pass will increase to $99 after June 15.

In addition, UTA is hosting an art contest for those ages 6 to 18 to promote the use of public transportation. Participants are asked to submit a painting, drawing or photo of any UTA vehicle or facility. Winners will receive a free Rider’s License.

All art must include the participant’s name age and a description of the art. It should be mailed to: Children’s Art Contest, C/O UTA PR and Marketing Department, Social Media Desk, 669 W. 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101. A photo of the art also can be emailed to utasocial@rideuta.com. Entries must be received by UTA no later than Friday.
