While Wednesday's snowfall was met by many with irritation and displeasure, history shows us it could be worse.
KSL's latest weather report tells of rain and snow Wednesday morning and more accumulation in the benches and mountains. It is expected to reach above 6,500 feet by 4-8 inches by Wednesday evening.
This is not the latest snowfall that we have seen, according to the Deseret News.
- June 29, 1968: Salt Lake City experienced light snowfall, making headlines on July 1.
- June 6, 1995: Two inches of snow fell on west Layton, while other areas received up to an inch.
- May 24, 2010: According to this KSL article, this is the latest snowfall on record by the Salt Lake International Airport.
