JENSEN, Uintah County — A brush fire burned 200 acres of land near U.S. 40 east of Vernal, Uintah Basin Interagency Fire Center reported.
The highway was closed for two hours in both directions at the Jensen and Colorado border, reopening around 8 p.m. No structures were threatened, firefighters reported.
Engines from the BLM, Dinosaur National Monument, Ashley National Forest, Jensen, Naples and Vernal assisted in containing the fire.
