Dixie State women's tennis sophomore Lacey Hancock was named to the All-Pacific West Conference third team on Tuesday as the league announced its all-conference teams and postseason honors.

Hancock led the Trailblazers to a 9-8 record in the 2016-17 season, marking the team's first winning record since the 2013-14 campaign (12-9). Hancock played 13 of 14 matches at No. 1 singles, finishing the year with a total record of 7-7 at singles play. Early in the spring season, Hancock defeated Nozomi Matsuoka, the No. 12-ranked West Region singles player, 6-4, 6-4, at No. 1 singles, propelling her to a No. 14 Oracle/ITA Division II West Region ranking to mark the highest spring-season ranking in program history for a DSU player.

The All-PacWest honor marks the first postseason conference honor for the program since Karolin Kukaras and Laura Hartle each received All-PacWest nods in the 2014-15 season.

The PacWest tennis awards and teams are based on a combination of coach voting and ITA rankings. The individual player and coach awards are nominated and selected by the PacWest coaches. The All-PacWest teams are based on the ITA West Region rankings released prior to the NCAA Championship (April 19).
