All states are known for certain foods, some of which are delicious and others not so much.
Thrillist, an entertainment and culture website, recently compiled a list of each state’s “grossest food (that people actually love).” All of the rankings were opinion based.
You can read the full list here.
What was Utah’s grossest food? Jell-O salad.
Here’s how Thrillist described the meal:

“Like, Jell-O with fruits and vegetables floating around inside. … Honestly, Dwight's stapler might be more appealing than this SLC delicacy.”
The Dwight reference comes from the U.S. version of “The Office.” See the clip below.
Other highlights from the list:
- Idaho’s grossest food is sturgeon eggs, which is essentially American caviar, according to Thrillist.
Shredded wheat earned grossest food in Colorado.
- Nevada’s grossest food was “that plate of food you made at a casino’s all-you-can-eat buffet.”
