Utah standout Keith Van Horn was drafted No. 2 overall to the Philadelphia 76ers but was traded on draft night to the New Jersey Nets.

Van Horn hadnt wanted to be a 76er, but ended up playing for them during the 2002-03 season.

New Jersey coach John Calipari envisioned the ex-Ute as a cornerstone of the franchise, according to Utah coach Rick Majerus.
