Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, spent some time on a Fox News show Monday morning.
Chaffetz spoke on a number of topics, including the House Oversight and Government Reform Commitee’s investigation into former FBI Director James Comey, who was fired by President Donald Trump amid Comey’s investigation into Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign’s connection to Russia.
Chaffetz said on the show that Comey "is taking, I think, the path of least resistance" by testifying before Congress.
The Utah representative also spoke on Trump’s travel ban, something that the president tweeted about on Monday morning.

Chaffetz posted a photo on Instagram with the “Fox and Friends” crew, along with his wife, Julie Chaffetz, after the show wrapped up.
CNN media critic Brian Stelter raised the question on Monday morning about whether or not Chaffetz’s appearance was a tryout for Fox News.
Numerous reports from the last few months speculate that Chaffetz will switch to Fox News full-time after he resigns from his representative spot. He’s allegedly already spoken with colleagues about such a move, according to the Deseret News.
Chaffetz told the Deseret News that his resignation is a "first step" to pursue other opportunities.
"Look, none of that can come to fruition until you actually go forward and make this announcement. Then you can pursue what those other opportunities may be," Chaffetz said. "This is the first step."
