Nine days after being waived by the Minnesota Vikings, former BYU wide receiver Mitch Mathews signed with the Miami Dolphins on Thursday.

According to the Miami Herald, Mathews was brought on to fill in for injured receiver Rashawn Scott, who is expected to be back in time for training camp.

Mathews joins his fourth NFL team. He originally signed with Kansas City after going undrafted in the 2016 offseason but was cut during training camp. Mathews then joined the Cleveland Browns for nearly a month during the season and signed with Minnesota on March 30 before being released on May 30.
