Earlier this week, President Donald Trump made a speech at a national Boy Scout event that got the country's attention.
Trump started off the speech by saying he wanted to set politics aside, but then continued to cite examples of fake news, reference Hillary Clinton and her campaign, and make jokes about Obamacare, according to the Deseret News.
That then sparked a number of responses from notable news sources about the content of the speech. The Boy Scouts of America even responded, expressing concern over what was said.
"The Boy Scouts of America is wholly nonpartisan and does not promote any one position, product, service, political candidate or philosophy," the statement said, according to Business Insider. "The invitation for the sitting U.S. president to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition and is in no way an endorsement of any political party or specific policies."
O.J. Simpson was also in the spotlight once again last week. He was granted parole on July 20 after serving eight years in prison for breaking into a hotel room and stealing from a man at gunpoint, according to The Associated Press.
